Canadian Wildlife Federation Workshop

Wetland Field Trip Training with Ducks Unlimited Canada
Explore wetlands as outdoor classrooms! This hands-on training invites teachers to discover the ecological wonders of wetlands while gaining practical skills to deliver safe and engaging outdoor lessons. Learn how wetland education connects to curriculum topics like plants, habitats and communities, biodiversity, interactions in the environment and water. Maximum 20 participants.

Outward Bound Canada Training Academy
Crafted with the outdoor leader in mind, these three online microcredentials from the Outward Bound Canada Training Academy explore Risk Management, Judgment and Decision Making; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and Environmental Leadership. These microcredentials are accredited by Nipissing University. No limit to participants.

Earth Rangers Assembly
This year’s Earth Rangers assembly is styled like a fast-paced game show where students team up to answer questions, make eco-decisions, and tackle environmental challenges. Everyone will have a blast – while learning key biodiversity and conservation concepts.

Explore Your Environment
A PLT Canada facilitator will lead students through age-appropriate activities to help them to discover why trees matter, explore nature in their schoolyard, and learn about different jobs in environmental education. A field trip to a local forest may be an option, please contact for additional details.

WILD Spaces
Offered by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, WILD Spaces connects students to nature in your schoolyard through pollinator conservation and hands-on stewardship action! Teachers gain access to an online classroom filled with lesson plans and resources and guidance for engaging students in stewardship action through school gardening and citizen science projects! Classes that take part are also eligible to receive free pollinator-friendly plants in Spring 2026.
